Short-Term Disability (STD)
Short Term Disability (STD) coverage is provided through New York Life for eligible employees. STD insurance protects a portion of your income if you become partially or totally disabled for a short period. Long-Term Disability (LTD)
Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage is provided through New York Life for eligible employees. Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance pays a benefit if you become ill or injured and are unable to work for an extended period of time. If you become ill or injured, the LTD plan pays benefits after you met the waiting period and your claim is approved. You receive a percentage of your salary up to a monthly maximum.
Coverage continues until you are no longer disabled, as defined by the contract, or you reach your Social Security normal retirement age.
Eligible employees are automatically covered at no cost under the company-provided LTD plan. Some employees may be eligible to purchase optional LTD insurance.

How to File Your Disability Claim
