What’s New for 2019

Annual Enrollment is November 5–21, 2018

Annual Enrollment is your opportunity to review and make changes to your current benefit elections for 2019.

You will be automatically re-enrolled in your current medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans. If you do not wish to make changes, your current elections will roll over, and your premiums will be adjusted to reflect the new rates.

No action is required unless you want to make changes to your coverage or contribute to a 2019 Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account.

Take care of yourself. The rewards are worth the effort.

Good health is its own reward, but how about an extra incentive to sweeten the deal? Get big discounts on your 2018 medical premiums when you—and your covered spouse/domestic partner—complete a wellness screening by October 31, 2017. You’ll save even more when you (and your covered spouse/domestic partner) achieve important health goals—plus you’ll get valuable information that will help you monitor and improve your health.

It pays to know your Health Savings Account

It’s a new year and we all know what that means: resolutions. If you’re enrolled in the High Deductible Health Plan or the High Deductible Health Plan Plus, you have one more way to reach any financial resolutions you’ve made for 2017: your Health Savings Account (HSA). Here are three things you should know when it comes to your HSA.

Health Advocate: Helping you find your balance

We all need help sometimes, especially when it comes to balancing work and life. Now there’s one single place you and your eligible family members can go to get the help you need.

New year. New benefit plans!

Everyone must elect new benefits during Open Enrollment

This Open Enrollment, you must elect benefits or you and your family will not have medical, dental or vision coverage in 2017—even if you are currently enrolled. Also, if you want to participate, you’ll need to elect your 2017 contribution amounts for the flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and the Health Savings Account (HSA).

Important: Please note the enrollment dates below. Be sure to mark your calendar.

You can save even more when you (and your covered spouse) achieve important health goals—and get valuable information to help you monitor and improve your health. Beat the Heat this Summer!

Since Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, you may be getting ready to plan a vacation or simply spend more time outdoors. Both scenarios mean you'll have to start protecting your skin from the sun again.

The sun can cause harm to your skin even if you can't see it — you don't have to get a sunburn to have been exposed to harmful UV rays! As a result, it's vital to wear sunscreen and practice some sun-smart habits.

The new rules of Social Security Income

Last November, the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 was passed and it’s changed the way everyone thinks about Social Security. Previously, married couples used strategies like “file and suspend” and “restricted application” to maximize their Social Security income. However, that’s no longer possible — unless you act soon. To continue taking advantage of these Social Security income boosting techniques, call now at 855-223-3329, Monday through Friday, 9am-9pm ET.

You only have until April 29, 2016 to take advantage of this, so act fast.

Heads up! A new tax form is coming your way

In the next few weeks, you’ll receive a new tax form that’s required by the IRS under the health care law (aka, Affordable Care Act, ACA, Obamacare). It’s called the 1095-C.

Like your W-2, you can consent to receive this form electronically. If that’s the case, you’ll receive notifications when it’s posted just like you did this week with your W-2.
